The mission of the Appalachian Children's Center, Inc. is to advocate for the safety of all children and to reduce the trauma of child abuse victims and their families.

Vision

The Appalachian Children's Center, Inc. will be operating from 293 Progress Road, Ellijay, Georgia in Gilmer County. The Appalachian Children's Center, Inc. will remain a non-profit organization designed to serve abused and neglected children ages 3-17 and their non-offending caregivers through various services in the Appalachian Judicial Circuit.

Organization Values

The Appalachian Children's Center, Inc. will operate under the Appalachian Children's Center, Inc.’s Policies and Procedures, in accordance with the Child Abuse Protocols of Fannin, Gilmer, and Pickens Counties. The Appalachian Children's Center, Inc. will also operate in accordance with the highest standards of Children’s Advocacy Centers of Georgia and the National Children’s Alliance and maintain membership of each organization. The Appalachian Children's Center, Inc. will also operate in accordance with the highest standards and follow all guidelines of the grantors and funding sources. The Appalachian Children's Center, Inc. values the importance of client satisfaction and the importance of providing a safe, child-friendly environment for abused and neglected children and their non-offending caregivers. The Appalachian Children's Center, Inc. will maintain such a facility, meet the needs of client, and provide each with the appropriate services.
